Cooten Bay is a wonderful surfing beach on the north shore of the island. Through the rainforest, you can discover two canons lying on the beach outside of an old ruin.

Lava flow is one of the most beautiful beaches in the bvi and has very unique rock formations on both sides of the beach. the road is often treacherous, so be prepared to park HALFWAY down the hill and hike the remainder of the road. the waves can quite big and there is no lifeguArd on duty, so be careful when swimming.

Josiahs bay is a very easily accessible beach with umbrellas and beach bars that is fun for the whole family. they have a small surf school and good waves for learning water sports.

Cane garden bay is on the north shore of tortola and has lots of activities including kayaks, beach chairs, bars and restaurants.

Smugglers cove is a quiet beach on the north shore and IS HOME TO a historic ruin. the water is calm and good for family swimming.

Long bay is on the west end of tortola and is great for long walks and shell collecting. the waves can be a little choppy but still good for swimming.

apple bay is one of the best surf beaches in the bvi. there isn’t much sand on the beach, but you can have a drink at sebastian’s hotel while you watch the waves.
